Windows will definitely install faster this way, but is it worth spending all the extra time just to do this?ġ.

Someone COULD get the USB 3.0 drivers for Windows 7 and put them on the Windows install flash drive, when Setup prompts for the drivers move the flash drive to one of the USB 2.0 ports, browse for and install the drivers, then move the flash drive back to the front of the computer. Of course this will take a little longer to install but it works. The solution to installing Windows 7 from a USB drive is just to turn off secure boot in the BIOS, turn on Legacy booting, and install from a black port on the back of the computer, rather than using the blue USB 3.0 ports. Windows 7 doesn't have USB 3.0 drivers, this may be the cause of some problems.
